Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a per diem/on-call opportunity at a methadone clinic in Berkeley, CA. This position is ideal for an LVN looking for flexible weekend work with guaranteed on-call pay.
The selected LVN will be scheduled to be on-call for one hour per day on Saturdays and Sundays only. The LVN will be paid $34-35 per hour for the on-call hour, regardless of whether they are called in. If called in during that on-call window, the LVN will be expected to report to the clinic and work a full shift of approximately 8 hours, paid at the same hourly rate.
There may also be additional per diem shift opportunities based on clinic needs and at the discretion of the Director of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Be available and responsive during the scheduled weekend on-call hour
- Report to the clinic if called in during the on-call window
- Provide LVN-level nursing support in a methadone clinic setting
- Assist with medication-related procedures in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulations
- Monitor clients and report any concerns to appropriate clinical or nursing leadership
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Follow all clinic protocols, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards
- Communicate professionally with the Director of Nursing and facility team
- Support additional per diem coverage needs when available and approved by nursing leadership
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted California LVN license
- Prior experience in substance use disorder treatment, methadone clinics, detox, residential treatment, behavioral health, or medication-assisted treatment preferred
- Must be dependable, responsive, and able to report to the Berkeley clinic if called in
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work professionally with individuals receiving substance use treatment services
- Weekend availability required for Saturday and Sunday on-call coverage

Compensation
- $34-35 per hour
