Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Emergency Veterinarian to join their 24-hour emergency and urgent care facility.

This role offers the opportunity to manage complex medical and surgical cases within a large, fully equipped hospital environment. The practice supports both emergency and general services, providing a dynamic caseload and access to advanced diagnostic and surgical technology.

The facility includes extensive in-house laboratory capabilities, advanced imaging such as CT and digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and multiple surgical suites. Working alongside an experienced team of veterinarians and support staff, the Emergency Veterinarian will play a key role in delivering timely, high-quality critical care while maintaining clear and compassionate client communication.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough emergency examinations and developing treatment plans
• Performing emergency surgeries and advanced diagnostic procedures
• Managing hospitalized cases and participating in case discussions
• Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records
• Collaborating with hospital leadership to uphold clinical standards

Qualifications Needed:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution
• Active California veterinary license in good standing
• DEA registration or ability to obtain and maintain
• Minimum of one year experience in emergency veterinary practice
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in high-pressure situations

Package:

• Compensation range between $160,000 and $180,000
