Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Part Time Leasing Agent to join our property management team. This role involves engaging with prospective tenants, managing leasing processes, and supporting property operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, customer service, and property management regulations, with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate. This position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to develop your career within a dynamic leasing environment.
Duties- Greet prospective tenants and provide detailed property information
- Conduct property tours and explain leasing terms and community amenities
- Aid in lease applications, including data processing and document filing
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for property upkeep and repairs
- Handle tenant inquiries via phone and in person with professional etiquette
- Upsell available units or upgrades to prospective tenants to maximize occupancy
- Aid in move in processes for new residents, ensuring a smooth process from the initial tour to move in
- Knowledge of Landlord-Tenant Law and Fair Housing regulations
- Experience with Appfolio, Showmojo, and marketing avenues (zillow, facebook, etc.)
- Strong customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette and conflict management abilities
- Proven sales experience with negotiation skills and upselling techniques
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills along with office experience in administrative support roles
The pay scale for this position is $23-26/hourly depending on experience, with commission on leases signed. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. The Company reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
This is a temporary, part-time position (up to 30 hours per week) with a flexible schedule through August. There is potential for the role to transition into a full-time Property Manager position for the right candidate.
