Immunologist Position At Prellis Biologics
Prellis Biologics is a dynamic startup revolutionizing immunology. We develop cutting-edge technologies to unlock the immune system's potential and drive innovation in therapeutic development.
We're seeking an enthusiastic and talented immunologist to play a pivotal role in advancing our groundbreaking platform. You'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop functional assays. This position is ideal for someone with strong experience working with immune cell systems and functional assays who enjoys bench work and contributing to data generation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will work closely with scientists across biology and pharmacology to generate high-quality data that supports ongoing discovery efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Execute mechanism of action studies to elucidate target biology, pathway modulation, and disease relevance across in vitro and ex vivo models.
- Establish and employ novel techniques to characterize immune cell responses.
- Leverage your knowledge in immunology, cell biology, and molecular biology to contribute to the development of ex vivo immune processes.
- Perform in vitro and ex vivo cell culture
- Independently analyze, evaluate, and present data including but not limited to reporter-based functional assays, immune cell activation assays, apoptosis, and cell migration assays Principal
- Be hands-on in the lab (60-80% of the time) and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate and support coworkers in a matrixed environment
- Maintain accurate experimental documentation and contribute to protocol generation and laboratory best practices
Qualifications:
- PhD in immunology, cell biology, or a closely related field with 1+ years of relevant industry and/or postdoc experience. MSc in immunology, cell biology, or a closely related field with 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Extensive immunology lab experience, including flow cytometry (panel design, data acquisition, analysis, troubleshooting).
- Proficient in cell culture of both primary and immortal cell lines.
- Experience with ELISA/MSD, cytokine panels, and cellular signaling assays
- Expertise in experimental design, data analysis, and interpreting complex immunological data sets.
- Proficiency in primary cell isolation and culture, and in vitro assay development/execution to evaluate antibody candidates
Skills & Experience (Preferred):
- Knowledge of immune inflammatory processes and diseases.
- Project management expertise.
- Experience developing and implementing laboratory systems.
- Proficiency in Flow Jo, and Graph Pad Prism software.
