Job Summary:
This laboratory position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical life cycle management activities for both launch and commercial biopharmaceutical products within the CMC and Technology department. The successful candidate will play a vital role in executing purification process development studies, working within a collaborative environment that supports the advancement of therapeutic products from development through commercialization. This hands‑on role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong technical capabilities, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of laboratory safety and documentation practices.
- Execute purification process development studies following Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and laboratory batch records (LBRs)
- Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Document experimental procedures, observations, and outcomes in lab notebooks and digital databases
- Collaborate with development scientists and cross‑functional team members to support project objectives
- Maintain and monitor laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise during routine operations
- Work independently with minimal supervision after completing initial training period
- Proficiency with routine laboratory operations and documentation systems including BPRs and SOPs
- Excellent record keeping abilities with strong attention to detail
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- General knowledge of laboratory techniques used in protein purification processes
- Hands‑on experience with AKTA Explorer/Pure liquid chromatography systems
- Ability to troubleshoot typical problems encountered during routine laboratory operations
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- 1-2 years of hands‑on experience working with AKTA Explorer/Pure liquid chromatography systems
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree
