About the Role
We are looking for a Sales & Design Specialist at Herman Miller. As the face of our brand, you will guide clients through a personalized journey, blending your design sensibility with consultative selling to help them create spaces that support their wellness and productivity. This role is more than retail; it offers the chance to become a trusted advisor and design consultant for clients who value quality, ergonomics, and timeless style.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Inspire and educate clients through in‑store demonstrations and personalized consultations.
- Design tailored solutions that align with clients’ needs, preferences, and wellness goals.
- Drive sales by building strong client relationships and proactively following up on leads.
- Collaborate with the A&D (Architecture & Design) community to grow brand awareness and partnerships.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure a premium store experience.
- Process transactions and manage orders with accuracy and efficiency.
- Proven experience in retail sales, interior design, or client‑facing design consultation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client‑first mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design/rendering tools.
- Ability to lift/move items over 20 lbs and adhere to safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.

CompensationCompensation range for this role is $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. Additional considerations include candidate qualifications, experience, and market factors. You may also be eligible for a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive, and equity awards subject to program rules.
