Job Purpose:

* The Hardware Salesperson at TRUITT AND WHITE LUMBER COMPANY is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their hardware needs, ensuring they find the right products to meet their requirements. This role involves creating special orders for products not in stock, as well as handling communications through phone, email, and text. The position also includes merchandising aisles and stocking products to maintain a well-organized and appealing store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist customers with their hardware needs, offering expert advice and solutions.
* Create special orders for products that are not stocked in-store.
* Answer phones, reply to emails, and respond to texts promptly and professionally.
* Merchandise aisles to enhance product visibility and accessibility.
* Stock products to ensure shelves are consistently replenished and organized.
* Utilize multi-tasking and problem-solving skills to handle various customer inquiries and challenges.
* Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
* Apply product knowledge and sales experience to drive sales and meet company targets.## Qualifications Required

Education:

* High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience:

* Proven experience in sales, preferably in hardware or related industries
* Experience in customer service and handling inquiries via phone, email, and text Required

Skills and Abilities:

* Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Solid product knowledge in hardware and related products
* Demonstrated sales experience and ability to meet sales targets
