The Company

Masaya Co (furniture) and Masaya Homes (ADUs & single-family homes) share one vision: sustainable design with lasting impact. At our Berkeley showroom, we’re looking for a Senior Sales Representative who will be the go-to expert for furniture sales while also supporting client inquiries for our homes division. You’ll connect with walk-in customers, trade professionals, and homeowners, guiding them through our products and process with warmth and professionalism.

The

Position

As a Furniture Client Advisor at Masaya Co and Homes, you’ll play a key role in driving our furniture sales while supporting the broader showroom experience shared with Masaya Homes. You will provide exceptional client experiences during showroom visits, guide both retail clients through our sustainably crafted furniture collections, and manage the full sales process. This role bridges customer service, and sales operations, with opportunities to grow into leadership and mentorship.

Schedule
  • Friday 10:00am - 4:00pm
  • Saturday & Sunday 9:00am - 5:00 pm

30 min lunch break

  • Base Pay: $22.00/hour
  • Sales Commission: 3% commission on retail furniture sales.
What We’re Looking For
  • Background in furniture sales or design-related retail.
  • Experience in furniture sales or supporting design professionals is a plus.
  • Comfortable balancing client-facing engagement and back-end order management.
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative, cross-division environment.
  • Passion for design, sustainability, and creating meaningful client experiences.
  • Sell to and support both retail clients
  • Act as the lead expert on furniture sales in the showroom.
  • Represent both Masaya Co and Masaya Homes as a showroom brand ambassador.
  • Provide showroom coverage: engage with walk-ins, guide clients through product selections, and collect key client information for follow-up.
  • Build and send quotes, ensure orders are complete, track order statuses, and follow up from sale through delivery.
  • Process and ship swatch orders, prepare labels, and manage swatch inventory.
  • Manage showroom communications: answer phone calls, respond to messages, and handle client inquiries.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with clients throughout the order and delivery process.
  • Execute opening and closing tasks, including:
  • Device and music setup, Foot traffic tracking (Google Sheets & clickers), Business card/brochure refills, Patio furniture setup/lockup
Qualifications
  • Preferred:
    Enrolled in a college level program in Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with homeowners and internal teams.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating positive, informative experiences. Comfortable working independently, managing shifting priorities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Hub Spot) and project management software, or permitting platforms is a plus.
