Position Overview
We are looking for a highly engaging, customer-focused individual to join our sales team as a Sales Coordinator. The Sales Coordinator will support our Sales Team and ensure they have the tools, supplies, and resources needed to deliver exceptional service, build positive guest interaction, and provide accurate information about the resort and special events.
Location:
Residence Inn by Marriott Berkeley, Berkeley, CA. Property features 331 suites, 15,000 sq. ft. meeting space, rooftop restaurant, and is located near Downtown Berkeley BART.
- Answer incoming phone calls, qualify inquiries, and set up calls with the Sales & Catering Sales Manager.
- Send packages and answer general questions.
- Create monthly recap of leads and updates.
- Assist in creating contracts, estimates, and site tours.
- Create Sales & Catering kits and restock supply area as appropriate.
- Control office supplies and order supplies when necessary.
- Update Sales System with actuals after event completion.
- Send out Thank You cards/emails.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: previous hotel or resort experience.
- Strong desire to make an impact on other people.
- Outgoing and engaging personality.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
Salary: $21 - $21 (actual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience, certifications and location).
