Analytical Chemist, Molecules; GMP

Job Description

Analytical Chemist, Large Molecule responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Supports protein/antibody products by applying a variety of GMP analytical methodologies.
• Performs experiments, data processing, and presents results to internal departments and in technical reports.
• Communicates scientific findings, provides status updates on assigned tasks in one‑on‑one discussions and within the project team and department meetings.
• Contributes to the functions of the laboratory including ordering, organization, chemical and equipment monitoring, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Experience with size exclusion chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, capillary isoelectric focusing methods. Knowledge on Empower is required.
• Strong problem‑solving and instrument trouble‑shooting skill.
• Strong understanding of GMP regulations.
• Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to write and review SOPs, technical reports.

• Bachelor degree in chemistry, biology, or other related degree concentration.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship indefinitely.
• 2‑4 years of relevant experience.

Position is full-time, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Berkeley, CA are encouraged to apply.
