Engineer, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the Residence Inn by Marriott Berkeley. This high‑profile property features 331 suites in a 17‑story building with modern amenities and extensive event space.

• Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct electrical repairs on appliances, wiring, HVAC, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Repair woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, and other finishing work.
• Maintain mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, water heaters, and automotive equipment.
• Keep records and logs of completed tasks and submit reports to supervisors in a timely manner.

• Experience working in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of household repairs including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other trade skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a welcoming, engaging personality.
• Available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull and lift up to 50lbs.

$22.5 – $23 per hour, with compensation determined by individual skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
