Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location:
Cherokee site on South Broadway, St. Louis.

Role DescriptionThe Industrial Maintenance Technician ensures optimal performance of cGMP facilities, equipment, and HVAC systems. The technician performs predictive and preventive maintenance, alarm response, troubleshooting, and asset performance management of air conditioners, air handlers, chillers, freezers, walk‑in temperature controlled systems, hot water systems, lyophilizers, and other electromechanical systems.
Responsibilities- Follow safety and environmental rules, cGMP regulations, and maintain high quality records.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to facilitate maintenance on all production and facility equipment, focusing on equipment uptime and resolving quality and production related issues.
- Perform HVAC/Refrigeration maintenance, industrial installations and commissioning, and repairs as needed.
- Oversee contract service providers and contractors executing work for the company.
- Promote continuous improvement and asset reliability.
- Read, interpret, and update electrical, mechanical, and P&, PM tasks, and other equipment records.
- High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years industrial HVAC experience.
- OR Associate’s degree in HVAC or other Industrial maintenance discipline and 3+ years industrial HVAC experience.
- Certification to handle, dispense, and recover ODS refrigerants.
- 1+ years industrial electricity, electronic controls, and safe work practices.
- Experience with DCS, PLC, and/or Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting systems in an industrial environment.
- Experience performing electrical troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC systems.
- Experience performing brazing, soldering, and welding repairs on HVAC systems.
- Experience reading and understanding blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with software systems such as Delta V (DCS), Siemens (BMS), or other control systems.
- Ability to be self‑directed in managing routine work.
- Pay Range: $26.00–$41.00 per hour.
