Community Services Aide

The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Community Services Aide in the Health, Housing & Community Services Department.

This position is temporary, non-benefited and not-to-exceed 19 hours per week.

• Assist community center staff in receiving, handling, and delivering catered meals to specific sites or homebound residents.
• Assist with program activities and facility rentals to provide ongoing service to community members and program participants.

• Completion of high school.
• At least twelve (12) months of experience in meal preparation, delivery services, or working with adults of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet program needs.
• When driving on City business, maintenance of a valid California driver’s license and satisfactory driving record; must report changes in status of driver’s license.
