As a Youth Works Intern, you will be placed at a City of Berkeley department or community-based organization for job experience and skill development. You will receive training and guidance toward professional development goals, including interviewing, resume writing, financial literacy, and employability. Specific duties vary depending on the department or organization to which you are assigned.

• Equivalence to completion of the eighth grade.
• Must reside in Berkeley, California.
• May be required to work evenings or weekends.
• May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.

Candidates under final consideration will undergo a background check that may include employment history, educational credentials, certifications, licenses, driver’s license, credit check, criminal history check, and Live Scan fingerprinting.
