Senior Firmware Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer to create dependable C/C++ software solutions for advanced Battery Management Systems (BMS). You will work alongside cross‑functional hardware and software departments to architect, build, verify, troubleshoot, and release firmware for power electronics and embedded controllers.
Primary Duties- Translate product requirements into software features while ensuring alignment with essential safety and reliability benchmarks.
- Build embedded C/C++ firmware components to facilitate system management, actuator control, and sensor monitoring.
- Help ensure high manufacturing standards by creating self‑test routines and validation software for hardware bring‑up.
- Architect and deploy microcontroller firmware to manage power flow and sensor data within Battery Management Systems.
- Improve overall release quality by participating in continuous delivery, integration testing, and unit testing workflows.
- Help maintain system reliability in the field by diagnosing and resolving firmware challenges during deployment.
- Write clean, sustainable, and thoroughly documented code that adheres to professional standards.
- Drive the resolution of software defects and performance limitations by leading sophisticated debugging efforts.
- Help maintain team standards by championing formal development practices like code reviews, version control, and documentation.
- At least 3 years of experience in embedded or RTOS‑based firmware engineering, ideally within power electronics or battery management fields.
- Advanced skills in C and C++ for developing real‑time, multithreaded embedded software.
- Deep knowledge of embedded fundamentals, such as bare‑metal programming, RTOS, interrupt architectures, fixed‑point math, and HIL validation.
- Apply digital control design and power algorithms—including PWM generation and stability analysis—to improve system performance.
- Proven track record working with communication protocols like SPI, I2C, CAN, and Modbus.
- Strong grasp of electrical engineering principles, including schematic reading, sensor integration, EMC, and safe hardware bring‑up.
- Hands‑on experience utilizing lab tools like power analyzers, oscilloscopes, and high‑power test equipment.
- Knowledge of compliance and quality frameworks like ISO 26262, MISRA, ASPICE, CMMI, or UL 1998.
- Experience with security‑focused features like OTA updates, secure bootloaders, and cryptographic signing.
