Load Builder

## Description

Job Purpose:

* The Load Builder at TRUITT AND WHITE LUMBER COMPANY is responsible for efficiently building loads for orders that are scheduled for delivery, ensuring that all products are accurately staged and ready for transport. This role requires effective coordination with the dispatcher and sales staff to address any product stock issues and ensure seamless order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Build loads for orders that are being delivered, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Stage prepared orders to be loaded onto delivery trucks, maintaining organization and efficiency.
* Multi-task between various orders to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements.
* Coordinate with the dispatcher and sales staff to resolve any product stock issues related to orders being built.
* Help load customers in the yard when short staffed.
* Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and effectively to handle and transport products.
* Utilize saws and other tools as needed for product preparation and load building.
* Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including cold and hot temperatures.
* Lift and move products weighing up to 60lbs, ensuring safety and proper handling.
* Sit and stand for extended periods while performing job duties.
* Grab, grasp, pull, and carry products as required for load building and staging activities.## Qualifications Required

Education:

* High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience:

* Experience in load building and order preparation for delivery
* Familiarity with coordinating logistics and communication with dispatchers and sales staff
* Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred

Skills and Abilities:

* Proficiency in operating a forklift
* Ability to use saws safely and efficiently
* Comfortable working outside in varying weather conditions, including cold and hot temperatures
* Physical capability to lift up to 60 pounds
* Ability to sit and stand for extended periods
* Strong manual dexterity to grab, grasp, pull, and carry products
* Effective multi-tasking skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously
