LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a HYBRID Accounting Associate in St. Louis, MO. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience managing day-to-day financial operations that keep the organization running smoothly.
Title: Accounting Associate
Type: Direct Hire/Permanent
Location: St. Louis, MO
Schedule: Monday - Friday; HYBRID (2 days remote)
Compensation: $50,000 - $58,000 annual

Job Description
- Provide general office and admin support as needed.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc assignments.
- Compile and enter lawn crew payroll hours by property.
- Prepare and file monthly and quarterly state B&O tax returns.
- Reconcile payroll bank accounts monthly and track open items with Payroll.
- Monitor and respond to daily support tickets (users, access, system issues).
- Monitor monthly rent-direct ACH processing and coordinate timely postings.
- Place stop payments and retrieve cleared check images as requested.
- Update replacement reserve schedules and prepare draw requests monthly.
- Maintain wire and ACH templates and beneficiary records.
- Initiate wires and electronic transfers for distributions and other payments.
- Record payroll, insurance, and fee transfers.
- Manage ACH collections for monthly management and asset fees.
- Transfer funds to support check runs, payroll, insurance, and reserves.
- Process NSF checks, notify properties, and record activity.
- Prepare and process daily corporate bank deposits
Qualifications
- Experience in Quick Books and Yardi is helpful but not required
- Experience with Excel required
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems required; property software a plus
- Three or more years of relevant accounting background
- Proficient with core office software, including spreadsheets, documents, email, and accounting tools
- Working knowledge of online banking platforms preferred
- Strong organizational habits with high accuracy and detail focus
- Able to juggle competing tasks and consistently hit deadlines
- Self-starter who identifies issues and follows through to resolution
- Collaborative team player with a customer-service approach
