Preferred Qualifications Role PurposeThe program director (PD) will be responsible for the continued, successful accreditation/approval of a program through leadership and management. This individual will be responsible for curriculum, instruction, and will provide engaged instruction; develop curricula; conduct program, course, and student outcomes assessment; and advise and support students. The PD will engage in the professional work to advance the College’s mission by participating in institutional advancement, professional development, and community service opportunities.
Responsibilities- Responsible for annual program assessment and comprehensive program reviews; gather and analyze data to support continuous improvement and ensure the annual report is complete and accurate. Keeps current with AACN, NLN, and other academic leaders to understand changes in the field and explore future trends.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Dean or Dean to recommend the development or maintenance of program budgets; maintain and update programmatic changes required by regulatory and accreditation agencies and Goldfarb processes and policies to ensure alignment with current regulatory and professional nursing standards. Verify all clinical faculty credentials each term.
- Oversees the assessment, revision, and implementation of individual courses and programmatic changes. Evaluation of student learning and maintain accurate records of evaluation and course work,
- Work to advance the College’s mission and vision; abide by the College’s values, follow policies and procedures; promote a positive working relationship; participate in committees, institutional activities and in program recruitment. Support workforce development. Recruit and mentor adjunct faculty; assists in staffing. evaluating part-time and full-time faculty; and in the development of grants
- Engage and put follow-up procedures in place for students in the advising process; create student plans and maintain documentation for each advisee. Direct students to appropriate resources; serve as initial point of administrative contact for student concerns or issues and provide follow-up. Evaluate graduation progress and completion.
