We are seeking a visionary, collaborative Instructional Support Leader (ISL) to join our "New Chapter." This is a one-year, high-impact role designed to build instructional capacity through side-by-side coaching, data-driven strategy, and professional mentorship.

Role Summary

The Instructional Support Leader (ISL) plays a vital role in elevating student learning by supporting the growth of classroom teachers. Reporting to the Building Principal, you will provide intensive coaching, model best practices, lead data analysis sessions, and facilitate professional development. You are a strategic partner to the administration, ensuring that every instructional minute is optimized to meet the needs of our scholars.

You’ll Succeed (Qualifications)
  • The Master Educator: Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience required.
  • Educationally Advanced: Master’s Degree in Education required.
  • Certified Specialist: Valid Missouri Teaching Certification in Elementary 1-6 required.
  • Lead Mentor: Proven experience working with adult learners, including coaching, designing professional development, and/or facilitating collaborative planning teams.
  • Data Strategist: You have a talent for analyzing student data and translating it into actionable instructional adjustments.

    Coaching:

    Provide non-evaluative, side‑by‑side coaching for teachers, including modeling lessons, co‑teaching, and observing to provide high-quality feedback.
  • Professional Development: Design and facilitate engaging professional learning opportunities that align with district priorities and the specific needs of the building staff.
  • Data Leadership: Lead teacher teams in analyzing assessment data to group students for intervention and to refine Tier 1 instruction.
  • Capacity Building: Build the instructional "toolbox" of both new and veteran teachers, focusing on engagement strategies, literacy frameworks, and classroom environment.
  • Collaborative Planning: Partner with teachers during planning periods to ensure lessons are rigorous, standards-aligned, and culturally responsive.
  • Strategic Partnership: Work closely with the Building Principal to monitor the implementation of the School Improvement Plan and instructional initiatives.
