As part of the Ferguson-Florissant "New Chapter," you will be a key leader in our commitment to equity and social-emotional excellence. If you are a bridge-builder who believes in the power of restorative justice to transform school climate, your next chapter starts here.
Role SummaryAs a Restorative Room Specialist, you will lead a structured, supportive environment dedicated to developing positive student behaviors. You will guide restorative practices—such as circles, mediation, and reflection—to help students resolve conflicts and repair relationships. Working as a vital partner to staff and families, you will provide the coaching necessary to promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate for every student.

- Relationship Builder: You possess the "soft skills" to connect with students who may feel disconnected from the school community.
- Guide Restoration: Facilitate restorative circles and one-on-one conferences that empower students to take accountability and repair harm.
- Support the Whole Child: Provide a structured environment where students can de-escalate, reflect, and learn self-regulation strategies.
- Collaborate with Staff: Partner with teachers and administrators to create re-entry plans that ensure students transition back to class successfully.
- Partner with Families: Act as a bridge between home and school, helping families understand restorative processes and celebrate student growth.
- Analyze & Pivot: Use behavior data to identify trends and work with the building leadership team to implement proactive school-wide initiatives.
- Primary Support: Building Principal / Assistant Principal
