Certified Teacher – Intermediate 3rd-5th Grade
Starting Date: Jul 1, 2026
OverviewAs an Intermediate Teacher, you will lead a classroom in one of six intermediate elementary schools (Grades 3‑5) in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. You will facilitate a rigorous, student‑centered environment that prepares young learners for the transition to middle school through collaborative projects, data‑driven instruction, and strong social‑emotional support.
Responsibilities- Lead the Grade‑3–5 classroom, delivering curriculum aligned to state standards.
- Implement data‑driven instruction and collaborate with grade‑level PLCs to analyze student growth and modify teaching strategies.
- Integrate technology and hands‑on learning, leveraging district assets such as Little Creek Nature Area and STEAM initiatives.
- Build a classroom culture that encourages belonging, equity, and community involvement.
- Prepare and maintain student records, assessments, and report cards.
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners to support student success.
- Participate in weekly collaborative planning time and professional development opportunities.
- Valid Missouri Teaching Certification (Elementary Ed 1‑6).
- Bachelor’s degree in any field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Experience teaching any grade level within 3‑5 span.
- Commitment to equity and inclusive education.
- Proficiency in integrating technology and STEAM instruction.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Classification:
Exempt, Certified Staff. - Work year: 10‑Month Academic Calendar, 187 Contract Days.
- Salary:
Based on Teacher Salary Schedule, determined by experience and education. - Position Type:
Full‑Time.
- Mentorship:
