The Fountain Group
is currently seeking a MP&P Engineer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Berkeley, MO
.
6 months (Possible extension/conversion based on performance and budget)
Hourly Rate on W2$70 - $85
Scope of work/Position Responsibilities- Apply nondestructive evaluation (NDE) methods/approaches, such as acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical and radiologic principles, in developing new and client methods/approaches to address affordability and supportability objectives
- Define requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and maintenance of products and approve their use
- Lead development of specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes
- Leads development, validation and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements
- Manages test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
- Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and customer requirements (ASNT, ASTM, AWS, ASME, ISO, etc.)
- Support audits, root cause analyses, and failure investigations as a subject matter expert
- Supports the Team Lead and work statement, assist defining strategies and/or provides consultation
- 5+ years of experience in engineering
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, physics or chemistry
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in NDE/NDT engineering in a regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, defense, energy)
- Experience with nondestructive evaluation processes (e.g., ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant inspection)
- Experience working in multi‑discipline teams, a strong desire to work with technical and non‑technical customers
- Strong understanding of materials behavior, stress analysis, and fracture mechanics
- Experience with project management tools
- Excellent time management skills to manage several simultaneous projects effectively and across various geographical locations
- Active / Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance preferred but not required
