Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Quality Engineer to join our team located in Berkeley, MO!

This position will support procurement activity and supplier oversight supporting Phantom Works Specialty Materials group. Successful candidates will have a background in Supplier Quality and Materials and Processing. Strong preference for candidates with knowledge of specialty material maturation milestones with experience supporting material and supplier qualification.

This position requires a Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

• Support early quality involvement with supplier establishing qualification planning
• Creates Supplier Oversight planning for supplier produced specialty materials
• Identify and mitigate risk in supply base
• Engages Supplier Quality Regional support as needed
• Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
• Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
• Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
• Works under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• 3+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
• 3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
• 3+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation

• 1+ year experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
• Materials and process qualifications

Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process

This position may require up to 10% travel.

Summary pay range: USD $100,300 - $135,700
