We are working with a highly respected engineering consulting firm seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join their growing team of innovative engineers and designers. Responsibilities- Perform electrical engineering design for projects including:
- Power service and distribution
- Branch circuitry
- Indoor and outdoor lighting and lighting controls
- Low-voltage/data infrastructure
- Audio/visual systems
- Miscellaneous electrical and control systems
- Develop construction documents including drawings and specifications
- Advise clients on electrical systems and code compliance requirements
- Lead electrical project design efforts and coordinate tasks with Designers and Jr. Engineers
- Conduct field inspections to verify existing conditions and develop project requirements
- Coordinate with internal and external project teams
- Solve complex engineering and construction-related challenges with minimal oversight
- Support construction administration and implementation of design intent
- Participate in project management activities including budgeting, scheduling, communication, and documentation management
- BSEE from an accredited university required
- PE license preferred
- 7+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- Experience designing building power, lighting, and electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and/or healthcare facilities
- Experience selecting electrical equipment and troubleshooting systems
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and electrical construction practices
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, Word, and One Note
- Experience with Bluebeam and industry software such as SKM, Aspen, and/or Easy Power preferred
- Ability to read and interpret both 2D and 3D drawings
