Phantom Works Fixed Wing Proprietary Program. Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an engineer to develop and integrate complex electro‑optical, infrared, radio‑frequency, communications, and weapon systems, ensuring alignment with warfighter operational needs.
As part of a fast‑paced Phantom Works program, you will collaborate in an agile development environment, mature products through the lifecycle, develop next‑generation open‑architecture designs, and present technical challenges and solutions to leadership. The role requires frequent interaction with program leaders, customers, and industry partners during critical design phases and offers potential growth into a leadership position.
Position Responsibilities- Design and integrate system‑of‑systems capabilities.
- Integrate capabilities across multiple systems and subsystems.
- Define requirements and verification for integrated capabilities.
- Work with customers to develop and document system design requirements.
- Translate customer requirements into hardware, software, and system designs.
- Define logical and software interfaces for platform architecture compatibility and interoperability.
- Research technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
- Utilize Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for hardware, software, and performance model development, including requirements, interfaces, and traceability.
- Develop, integrate, test, and validate hardware and software.
- Run tests and validate system functionality and performance to meet operational and functional requirements.
- Prototype hardware and software evaluation, lab integration, analysis, and test.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent non‑US qualifications.
- Level 2: 2 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Experience with MBSE modeling tools.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Location:
St. Louis, MO. Position is 100% onsite. - Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
- Relocation may be offered based on candidate eligibility.
- Security clearance required: ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Competitive base pay and variable compensation. Pay range: $91,800‑124,200. Boeing offers health insurance, flexible spending accounts, HSA, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, paid and unpaid leave, and a 401(k) plan with dollar‑for‑dollar match up to 10% of eligible pay.
