The Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) Test Operations & Engineering (TO&E) Instrumentation Data System Installation Design team seeks Manufacturing Engineers to provision Flight Test Instrumentation hardware across multiple aircraft platforms. The role involves the entire production cycle from engineering review and manufacturing plan authorship, through fabrication sourcing, to installation planning and shipside support.
Position Responsibilities- Synthesis of test hardware & instrumentation requirements in support of flight test
- Review of design models and drawings, creating/reviewing redlines and coordinating with design to incorporate updates
- Authorship of manufacturing plans to facilitate build
- Sourcing of fabrication & assembly, including work statement creation as needed
- Fabrication coordination and liaison
- Part sourcing from production
- Procurement of parts/material to support test, coordination with supplier management
- Shipside (at the aircraft) support of test hardware installation
- Occasional support of manufacturing engineering tasks across different Boeing sites
- Close coordination with flight test organization, instrumentation engineers, technicians, program engineers, Boeing customers, fabrication technicians, support personnel, electrical and mechanical designers across design/build and the Enterprise
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
- 3+ years of experience writing MES plans to support detail part fabrication, assembly and installation
- 3+ years’ experience with 3D modeling software
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Enrollment with a bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Experience leading teams or initiatives
- Experience with CAD packages such as Siemens NX, CATIA, etc.
- Experience working with machine shop processes, prototype development or fabrication processes
- Experience with rapid development or prototyping design and development

Summary Pay Range for Experienced level (Level3): $103,700 – $140,300
Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level4): $126,650 – $171,350
