Location:
St. Louis regional site (Berkeley, MO). The position is 100% onsite with up to 10% travel domestic and/or international.
The Lead Project Engineer provides engineering leadership to a cross‑functional team, develops and manages Statements of Work (SOW), leads execution of engineering projects, and coordinates resources, schedules, budgets, risk mitigation, and performance metrics. The role requires minimal direction and delivers technical, business, and integration leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Position Responsibilities- Act as the primary liaison between the Program, Production Engineering team, and Operations, translating program goals into actionable project plans.
- Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure timely delivery of program milestones.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities within the Program team and with external partners to ensure execution of the Internal Work Transfer (IWT) Statement of Work (SOW).
- Identify and maintain day‑to‑day oversight of cost, schedule, and performance metrics and report to leadership.
- Monitor project risks and issues, proactively identify mitigation strategies and escalating as necessary.
- Prepare and present regular status reports, briefings, and documentation to program leadership and stakeholders.
- Support configuration management, change control processes, and compliance with Program requirements.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across technical and management teams to align project objectives.
- Assist in the preparation and review of program documentation, including plans, proposals, and technical reports.
- Maintain working‑level customer relationships on the effort.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑US equivalent directly related to the work statement.
- 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- 3 or more years of technical project management experience.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience in creation and execution of Statement of Work (SOW) documentation.
- Project management of engineering definition, quality requirements, and execution of complex assemblies to specification and on‑time delivery.
- Experience developing and executing technical project requirements.
Successful candidates must satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Pay range: $136,850 - $185,150.
