Position Overview
The Boeing Company is seeking a Technology Release Engineer (multiple levels) to help lead Technology Release efforts for the most advanced Boeing defense platforms. This position is based in Berkeley, MO and involves working directly with Boeing and USG program leadership, government export policy offices, and release authority customers to define product capabilities, shape policy approvals, and support compliance with release requirements.
Responsibilities- Lead the BDS Technology Release team and engage with programs and platforms across the entire BDS portfolio to understand advanced technology capabilities and protect them.
- Engage with the government Tri‑Service Committee and other approval authorities to define and obtain approval for technology release requirements.
- Aid programs in requirements understanding, implementation solutions, and verification for release and export.
- Travel to support customer coordination as required.
- Collaborate with platform chief engineers, chief architects, and team leads to define architectures that enable the fielding and sales of advanced tactical capabilities.
- Advance the design, development, and maintenance of hardware and software‑based anti‑tamper solutions for the protection of critical military information and technology.
- Support verification of requirements, design, and implementation across multiple subsystem teams and technologies.
- Report day‑to‑day progress, issues, and concerns to program leads and senior program management.
- Work effectively with external customers and subcontractors in a multi‑site, multi‑discipline environment.
- Position is 100% onsite.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑US equivalent directly related to the work.
- 12 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Experience in design and/or integration of systems or subsystems on military platforms.
- Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience in the anti‑tamper or product security domains.
- Demonstrated prior technical leadership.
- Experience in government acquisition of military systems and/or government policy decisions.
- Active US Secret Security Clearance required (effective within the last 24 months).
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements; a U.S. Person as defined in 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.
- Relocation will be offered on a case‑by‑case basis.
- Shift 1 (United States of America).
- No visa sponsorship will be provided.
- Level 5: $204,000 - $276,000 (salary is a general guideline).
