This role supports Air Dominance flight test programs, including F‑15 international and future programs. The successful candidate will provide leadership through coordination of the Flight Test Work Statement with various functions and support groups within the BT&E, BDS, and customer organizations.
Position Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate flight test mission requirements with responsible engineers from internal and external customers
- Develop flight test and mission profiles, publish test plans, create flight test cards, and manage test schedules
- Identify and coordinate availability of test ranges and facilities with company and government agencies
- Establish test planning working groups, conduct flight test readiness reviews, and conduct pre‑ and post‑test briefings
- Conduct ground and flight tests in accordance with established test plans and procedures
- Participate in post‑test data evaluation, problem identification, and resolution
- Prepare and publish test summaries and reports
- Support Cost Account Manager (CAM) activities
- Lead and prepare for remote site deployments
- Develop and document standardized test methods and processes to ensure repeatability and productivity
- Apply lessons learned to improvement of test procedures
- Oversee preflight and post‑test briefings with the flight test team
- Formulate expectations for test data based on historical data
- Lead test team training, track training/currency qualifications, and mentor team members
- Work under minimal direction
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution
- 7+ years of experience working on flight test programs, preferably as a flight test engineer
- 7+ years of experience with the principles of flight test or direct support of flight test operations
- Experience supporting a military flight test program
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
- An active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). A clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active
- Experience leading flight test execution in a control room environment as a test conductor and/or test director
- Experience authoring test plans and test cards for a military flight test program
- Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
Primarily first shift; other shifts including nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required. Travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
