Lead Model-Based Systems Engineer
The Boeing Company is seeking a Lead Model-Based Systems Engineer (Level4) to support an Air Dominance Fixed‑Wing Proprietary Program in St.Louis, MO. In this role you will drive the design, integration, and testing of advanced cloud‑based systems that empower mission planning, debrief, and tactical Command & Control (C2) solutions for fixed‑wing platforms. You will lead the development, analysis, integration, and testing of innovative engineering solutions for critical Ground System capabilities and ensure seamless support for ground systems from initial design through to final delivery.
PositionResponsibilities
- Work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for Ground Systems
- Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
- Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to document designs and provide traceability to project requirements
- Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
- Problem‑solve concerning operational and support issues of fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle
- Research technology advances for potential application to company business needs
- Travel may be required up to 10% of the time, domestically depending on business needs
- Maintain an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution
- 7+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of educational and professional experience
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as CAMEO or a similar SysML‑compatible tool
- 3+ years of domain experience in systems architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation
Preferred Qualifications
- Broad experience across technical domains and life cycle phases
- Experience on proprietary programs
- Knowledge of Mission Systems architectures and Open Mission Systems (OMS) and/or Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI)
- Experience with military aircraft or Ground/Training Systems for military platforms
- Experience developing Digital Engineering Environments
