Overview

Production Engineering Manager – St. Louis, MO – Boeing. Lead a cross‑functional team of Manufacturing, Tooling, NC Programming, Liaison and Industrial Engineers to define, stabilize and improve a production system for a proprietary aerospace program.

Responsibilities
  • Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in Production Engineering.
  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures.
  • Lead a team to execute tooling and model‑based instruction (MBI) release curves.
  • Set operational goals and acquire necessary resources for projects and processes.
  • Provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Oversee and approve technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Manage, develop, and motivate employees to achieve high performance.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 1+ year of experience leading or managing engineering teams.
  • Experience with production and assembly processes.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance post‑start.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly with military or defense programs.
  • Knowledge of Boeing’s organizational processes, program plans, and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability in budget management and business process improvement.
  • Familiarity with critical path methodology and project leadership principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with structural repair principles and systems thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
