MP&P Engineer (NDE/Measurement systems)
Position: MP&P Engineer, NDE/Measurement Systems
Location:
St. Louis, MO (on‑site, 100%)Travel: 10% minimum
Security Clearance:
Must obtain U.S. Secret clearance (interim pre‑start and post‑start). U.S. citizenship required.
- Apply nondestructive evaluation (NDE) methods (acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical, radiologic) to develop new and novel methods supporting affordability and supportability objectives.
- Develop new sensor technology and testing systems for NDE applied to manufacturing and support areas.
- Define requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes used in engineering design, manufacture, and maintenance of products, and approve their use.
- Lead development of specifications and other documents to manage deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.
- Maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
- Lead development, validation, and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to meet requirements.
- Manage test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
- Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
- Incorporate environmental health and safety, LEAN, and Quality principles into materials and processes, research, design, qualification, work procedures, and lab and office areas.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and customer requirements (ASNT, ASTM, AWS, ASME, ISO, etc.).
- Support audits, root cause analyses, and failure investigations as a subject matter expert.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
- Assist the Team Lead with work statements and strategy consultation.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or direct non‑US equivalent qualifications related to the work statement.
- 5+ years of experience in NDE (non‑destructive evaluation).
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in NDE/NDT engineering within a regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, defense, energy).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
- Experience with nondestructive evaluation processes (ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, penetrant inspection).
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and a strong desire to collaborate with technical and non‑technical customers.
- Strong understanding of materials behavior, stress analysis, and fracture mechanics.
- Experience with project management tools.
- Excellent time management skills to manage multiple simultaneous projects effectively across various geographical locations.
- Active or current Secret U.S. Security Clearance preferred (not required).
Shift: 1st shift.
All work performed on‑site in St. Louis, MO.
