OverviewThe Test Operations & Engineering team of Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) seeks an Industrial Engineer to support a wide range of test capabilities, including structures, electromagnetics, aero, environmental, and test beds, along with internal fabrication and assembly of test hardware and assemblies.
Responsibilities- Apply industrial engineering concepts and techniques to products, processes, and services to meet program requirements.
- Support development of plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and workflows.
- Evaluate new techniques and technologies for integration into production and service operations.
- Assist in designing, maintaining, and optimizing the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
- Conduct process and workflow analysis and develop simple models, databases, and spreadsheets to provide summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders.
- Support research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality for large‑scale systems integration and asset utilization.
- Support implementation plans for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods.
- Document work instructions and standardize work practices.
- Support preparation of operations plans, including work‑statement analysis, budgeting, and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis, and production change to meet technical goals.
- Provide production, supply‑chain logistics, performance visibility, and recovery‑planning support.
- Lead metrics, data analysis, and improvement plans related to productivity, efficiency, and first‑time quality, including Lean, 5S, and special initiatives.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution.
- Five or more years of experience in industrial, production, or manufacturing engineering.
- Seven or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Nine or more years of experience in industrial or similar roles.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Experience in test laboratory operations.
- Experience with project management.
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
The position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance. A clearance active within the last 24 months is acceptable.
Pay & BenefitsCompetitive base pay with variable compensation. Pay range:
Experienced $100,300 – $135,700;
Senior $122,400 – $165,600. Potential signing bonus for eligible external candidates.
Relocation assistance may be provided based on candidate eligibility.
