LocationThe Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Experienced Industrial Engineering Tech (or Methods Process) Analyst located in Berkeley, MO.
Position OverviewWhen you join our team of mission-driven engineers, you’ll have the opportunity to be hands-on while driving solutions to difficult problems. You will support the fabrication and assembly for the next generation Air Force Trainer, bombers, tactical fighter aircraft, autonomous air vehicles, rotorcraft, advanced airborne sensors, space vehicles, satellites, weapons systems, and the commercial fleet of single and twin aisle airplanes, among many other projects.
PositionResponsibilities
- Apply standards to new work instructions.
- Update precedence networks supporting tooling and production schedule decisions, create and maintain engineering performance metrics.
- Integrate modular tooling.
- Analyze current and future business environment, develop forecast, acquisition, and utilization plans to optimize resources in support of company initiatives and program business plans.
- Develop and maintain complex Business System factory definition for manufacturing planning.
- Develop labor hour estimates for new or revised production and tooling work packages by utilizing labor standards, tool and production design drawing reviews, and production operations concurrence to support program business plans.
- Monitor performance.
- Participate in development of integrated tool and production master schedules, including crew cycling, learning curve, shift analysis, optimum/maximum crew size, tooling capacity, tool downtimes, rate flow.
- Identify and implement improvements to processes by analyzing current processes and utilizing improvement methodologies to maximize equipment and personnel efficiency and support company improvement initiatives.
- Analyze changes to approved plans resulting from unplanned events.
- Assess impact of changes that occur to cost, schedule, resources, and delivery.
- Develop modifications to existing plans and obtain approval for plan changes.
- Participate in negotiations representing Production and Tooling Operations to support schedule commitments or statement of work impacts.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and status integrated shop operating plans to maximize the efficiency of equipment and personnel to reduce inventory and meet cost and schedule commitments.
- Develop and support shop performance metrics by analyzing data to recommend plan of action for Production and Tooling Management.
- Level 3: 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master’s plus 4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree.
Min Pay Rate $46.5 USD per hour. Max Pay Rate $51.5 USD per hour.
