Experienced Systems Engineer (Operations / Systems Analysis)
The Boeing Company – Boeing Defense, Space & Security – solicits an Experienced Systems Engineer (Level
3) to join the Space Analysis and Experimentation Team in Berkeley, MO. The Engineer will help develop, operate, and maintain an Operator‑in‑the‑Loop virtual simulation environment for U.S. Government customers, including military, civilian, and industry partners.
- Plan, design, develop, and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Evaluate customer and operational needs; define and coordinate system performance requirements and integrate technical parameters to assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
- Develop planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements‑management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.
- Resolve cross‑functional technical issues.
- Collaborate with software and systems engineers to develop scenarios, integration, testing, and execution of wargaming events.
- Obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (Top Secret/SCI) as required.
- Travel up to 10% of the time domestically and/or internationally as business needs dictate.
- Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 4+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Working knowledge of MATLAB and experience with AFSIM or other simulation tools.
- Experience with project and configuration management tools such as Git and Jira (preferred).
- Prior military or DoD civilian experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate with military operators and support contractors.
- Experience in developing technical requirements from written and verbal guidance.
- Working knowledge of Git.
Successful candidates must satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest assessment process and comply with the company’s drug‑free workplace policies.
Security Clearance:
Requires U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance post‑start.
Export Control:
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a “U.S. Person.”
