Boeing is seeking a Senior or Experienced Mechanism Design Engineer to support a Next Generation Cruise Missile program in St. Louis, MO.
This program will require individuals who excel at interdisciplinary collaboration and systems thinking. The Next Generation Cruise Missile program seeks to provide new capabilities rapidly, through prototyping, to operate in unique environments with an emphasis on safety, security, and reliability. It will also require collaboration and coordination to meet the requirements for multiple stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities- Support the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.
- Support the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.
- Perform and document system performance using computational analysis tools to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Perform detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations.
- Contribute to supplier development, test and production activities and direct the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.
- Prepare technical documents for mechanical components and systems.
- Support system components’ design/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical, or Material Sciences).
- 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Experience with 3D solid modeling software applications (e.g., NX, Catia, CADD).
- Experience with mechanism/kinematic design.
- This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). A clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.
- This position requires the ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. citizenship only.
- (Level
4) 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. - Experience with Unigraphics (UG).
- The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in developing solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation.

Summary pay range:
Level 3: $103,700 - $140,300
Level 4: $126,650 - $171,350
