Aerospace Systems Safety Engineer – F‑15 Fighter Programs (Berkeley or Hazelwood, MO)The Boeing Defense Air Dominance Division Systems Safety & Mission Assurance organization seeks an Aerospace Systems Safety Engineer to support our growing portfolio of domestic and international customers. We are hiring for a range of experience levels, including Experienced (Level 3) and Senior (Level 4) System Safety Engineers.
As a member of the Safety engineering organization, you will collaborate directly with customers and program teammates across systems engineering, software engineering, mission systems, platform systems, flight engineering, production, and flight testing.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead in defining and validating safety, mission success, and airworthiness; provide support for incorporating safety into designs, operations, and procedures.
- Create and maintain aerospace safety and mission assurance tools and processes.
- Document safety analysis, hazard mitigation, validation and verification activities in compliance with relevant customer and regulatory safety standards.
- Establish global safety advocacy strategies, training, tools, and methods.
- Execute system and airplane level analyses (AFHA/SFHA, Common Resource Analysis, MFTA, FDAL, CMA, PRA, ZSA).
- Provide safety design and analysis expertise to program stakeholders and leadership.
- Develop certification strategies for systems and airplane-level safety issues.
- Represent BSG-C in trade studies, safety analysis coordination, and functional integration assessments.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑U.S. equivalent directly related to the work.
- Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace systems or structures.
- Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in airplane systems design and/or analysis (e.g., flight controls, hydraulics, avionics, fuels, etc.) and/or systems integration.
- Experience working with safety analyses such as Risk Assessments, Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Fault‑Tree Analysis (FTA), etc.

Summary Pay Range
- Experienced (Level 3): $107,100 – $144,900
- Senior (Level 4): $131,750 – $178,250
