Position

The Boeing Defense Air Dominance Division Systems Safety & Mission Assurance organization is looking for an Aircraft Safety Engineer to join the US Navy Unmanned MQ-25 Stingray program in Berkeley, MO. The role is open to Associate (Level
2)
or Experienced (Level
3)
engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead defining and validating safety, mission success, and airworthiness; provide support incorporating into designs, operations, and procedures.
  • Monitor program execution activities.
  • Conduct independent risk and technical integrity assessments.
  • Assist with anomaly and failure reviews and their resolution.
  • Monitor mission success events and report to Division MA Leader.
  • Assist program with establishing preplanned Mission Assurance Independent Reviews (MAIRs) to provide assurance of product integrity, workflow compliance and mission readiness.
  • Assist with Development Excellence (Dev Ex) independent reviews and risk reduction activities.
  • Initiate and chair special attention MAIRs to ensure product integrity and mission success.
  • Ensure adequate independence in MAIR teams by selecting subject matter experts external to the program.
  • Organize and execute Flight/Test Mission Assurance Readiness Review (F/TMARR).
  • Support Boeing Enterprise Root Cause/Corrective Action (eRCCA) on high severity technical failures to determine root causes and solutions for prevention of recurrence.
  • Provide an independent and proactive conduit for program personnel to raise questions and concerns related to risks to mission success and product safety.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or a non‑US equivalent qualification directly related to the work statement.
  • Level 2: 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to travel 10–20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience conducting a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) associated with a complex technical issue.
  • Full‑time aerospace industry experience with Flight Controls, Flight Controls software, or Mechanical/Hydraulic Systems.
  • Experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Actions, Root Cause Corrective Actions.

Summary Pay Range:

  • Associate (Level
    2): $88,400 – $119,600
  • Experienced (Level
    3): $107,100 – $144,900

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. The U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.
