Join Boeing, a leader in aerospace innovation, as a Mission Systems Sensors and Core Avionics Senior Manager on the Air Proprietary 2 (AP2) Program in Berkeley, MO. In this role you will lead a talented team in developing advanced avionics that protect our nation and allies. You will ensure the systems engineering, technical integrity, and quality of RF, EO, and Core Avionics systems.
PositionResponsibilities
- Lead and mentor individual contributors and managers performing engineering and technical activities in RF, EO, and Core Avionics.
- Drive programmatic execution for RF, EO, and Core Avionics portfolio; develop, track, and communicate metrics, and organize EVM reporting.
- Interface daily with customers and Boeing program office teams.
- Provide technical management of supplier execution.
- Ensure personnel and product safety related to design, production, and operation of integrated capabilities.
- Establish a culture of proactive technical oversight and risk management, ensuring systems engineering integrity and mission assurance.
- Implement and enforce engineering excellence in people, processes, tools, and practices.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure process inputs and outputs meet requirements.
- Ensure compliance with established requirements and plans.
- Coach and develop managers and employees through performance evaluations.
- Plan and coordinate allocation of resources to meet program goals.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical) or related field.
- 10 years of related work experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering leadership experience.
- Managerial experience (current or previous).
- Minimum 3 years of program management experience applying PMBPs, project planning/scheduling and EVM.
- Minimum 3 years of technical experience in mission systems development and integration.
- Master’s degree or higher.
- Experience supporting a proprietary program.
- Experience leading mission systems suppliers.
- Experience across multiple product life‑cycle phases.
- Experience with Mission Systems Open Architecture Standards.
- Experience with Cameo or similar Model‑Based Systems Engineering tools.
- Strong communication skills at multiple levels.
- Proven track record of execution in a development environment.
- Final U.S. top secret clearance preferred.
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Final Secret Clearance Pre‑Start is required. Ability to obtain program access requires U.S. Citizenship only.
Location & Work EnvironmentBerkeley, MO – 100% onsite. First shift. Relocation available based on eligibility.
Compensation & BenefitsLevel M (Senior Manager): $200,000 – $258,000. Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities.
