Radiologic Technologist - Ortho Trauma (F/T Days) at Mercy
Apply today for this full‑time, day‑shift position in Orthopedic Trauma. We are looking for a dedicated professional who can perform radiographic procedures at a technical level and assume responsibility for patient care.
OverviewPerform radiographic procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical details. Assume responsibility for procedures performed and carry out related duties as assigned.
ResponsibilitiesConduct and prepare radiographic imaging for orthopedic trauma patients, manipulating x‑ray equipment (including mobile units), carrying cassettes, selecting exposure factors, evaluating radiographs, and ensuring patient safety. Lift, move, and transport patients; stand and walk continuously; recognize and respond to emergency situations; communicate effectively with staff and patients.
Qualifications- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours. High school graduate or equivalent.
- Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on practice state. In Arkansas a Radiologic Technologist License is required.
- Experience: Adequate experience as determined by the position.
- Certification/Registration: ARRT registry or registry eligible. Achieve ARRT registry within 6 months of hire (or within 1 year in Arkansas).
- Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Technical skill in radiologic procedures; understanding of basic anatomy; ability to manipulate equipment and evaluate imaging; ability to lift, move, and transport patients.
- Working Conditions: Manipulate x‑ray equipment, mobile units; select and manipulate exposure factors; evaluate radiographs; lift, move, and transport patients; continually stand and walk; recognize emergency situations; adapt to stressful situations; communicate effectively.
- Equipment: Proficient in use of radiographic equipment, processors, and computers.
