Responsibilities
Heartland Behavioral Health Services has been providing care for children and adolescents for over 100 years in Nevada, Missouri. We treat male and female patients ages 4 through 17 in both acute as well as residential programs for conditions ranging from depression, anxiety and other mood disorders to recovering from a traumatic event. All of our programs have been designed and tailored to help our patients grow and prosper.
Heartland is nestled within 50 secluded acres in Nevada, Missouri, providing the perfect rural area setting for our residents to heal and grow. A reprieve from everyday life, our peaceful environment allows residents to return to the basics and reconnect with themselves and others. We also offer leisure activities, such as baseball, basketball and an equestrian program, that allow children and adolescents to enjoy themselves while building self-confidence, trust and teamwork.
JOINOUR TEAM AND SUPPORT OUR MISSION "WE CHANGING LIVES." THE INTAKE COORDINATOR POSITION -
Provides support in admission staff on their shift. Performs various duties related to working with families and referral sources for admission processes. Supports various insurance and financial counseling functions related to ensuring financial payments and follow-up paperwork completion. Performs back-up functions of taking intake calls and authorization approvals. Provides leadership to other intake staff and ensures that the department is completing required procedures.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS (skills, knowledge, abilities):
A wide range of motor activity is required in performing job responsibilities. The majority of activity will be standing, walking, bending, and lifting as necessary in the office setting. Ability to ascent and descent stairs in a timely fashion and sit long periods of time sorting paperwork and keyboarding.
Concentration and attention to detail are necessary to evaluate the job duty. Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable the senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of the position may be fully met.
The environment is an enclosed building subject to occasional inconveniences such as heating, cooling, ventilation and noise disturbances. Out of the building situations may occur.
Daily use of computers, printers, telephone and fax machines, copier, etc.
