Are you a nationally certified Pharmacy Technician seeking a new career? Our dynamic team at Barnes-Jewish Hospital is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join their team! This role is part of our procurement team and will work closely to assure medications and stock are properly received and inventory is rotated based on expiration date.

- 8‑hour shifts starting at 5 am or 6 am
- No Holidays/No Weekends
Job expectations – include the below but not limited to.
Additional tasks may be required as needed.
- Frequent bending, squatting, carrying, lifting 60+ lbs
- Receiving and moving pallets of fluids and supplies utilizing a pallet jack from the delivery dock to our storage locations
- Restocking of fluids into the pharmacy warehouse including moving individual cases of fluids or pallets utilizing the pallet jack.
- Restocking the warehouse from overstock supply areas and updating inventory spreadsheets in excel.
- Retrieve Drop ship deliveries from the dock and receive them into pharmacy stock
- Works with the procurement team members to backfill receiving role as needed
- Responsible for monthly outdates of several areas within the department and documenting work has been completed in Pharmacy Stars software.

Role Purpose
The Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient 3, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, provides cross coverage for multiple technician competencies or responsibilities within a focus area.
Responsibilities
- Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance.
- Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
- Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
- Assumes primary responsibility for a specific task, function or area of specialty, to include training, system maintenance, inventory management, workflow, process improvement, as well as use of electronic/automated systems.
- Pursues proficiency in the preparation of complex sterile compounds; seeks out other advanced skills and/or additional responsibilities.
