Medical Assistant – OB/GYN Office at Mercy South

Make a real difference in women’s health! As a Medical Assistant in our OB/GYN practice, you’ll be a vital part of the care team—supporting one of our busy OB/GYNs, assisting with rooming patients, injections, POC testing and procedures, and ensuring every patient feels comfortable and cared for. You’ll handle clinical tasks, maintain accurate documentation, and keep daily operations running smoothly.

This role combines hands‑on patient care with administrative support, all within a compassionate, fast‑paced environment. If you’re detail‑oriented, patient‑focused, and passionate about women’s health, we’d love to have you on our team!

• Vitals
• Medication Reconciliation
• Patient Medical History Documentation
• Specimen Collection and preparation
• Procedure set‑up
• Advanced Standard Rooming including: mammography ordering
• Injection administration

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Certification

BLS (Basic Life Support)

Education: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Experience: One year of experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.

• Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical documentation.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

• Knowledge of common outpatient procedures and equipment.

• Demonstrates knowledge of varying differences and behaviors among populations served.
