Senior Dev Sec Ops Engineer – Air Proprietary 2 Mission Systems

Location:
Berkeley, Missouri. This position is 100 % onsite.
- Lead the development and management of the software development environment roadmap and vision.
- Lead the deployment and configuration of technologies and tools used in software development, including build servers, version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Lead the establishment, configuration, and maintenance of Mission Systems software development environments across multiple networks.
- Lead the management and maintenance of cloud‑based and on‑premises infrastructures.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation to simplify infrastructure administration and software deployment.
- Establish and maintain development and production environments.
- Ensure compliance and policy enforcement for applicable design practices and industry standards.
- Lead the creation of best practices/methodologies for provisioning, platform scaling, configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Lead software development tool administration, maintenance, version upgrades, patch management, and integration between the tools (Jira, Gitlab, Artifactory, Confluence, Sonar Qube, etc.).
- Mentor and advise junior teammates and development teams on best practices in Dev Sec Ops , providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Coordinate across the Mission Systems solution team, the Digital Engineering Environment team, and the Boeing Software Factory Enterprise team.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 6 + years of experience working with engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and/or Dev Ops teams.
- 5 + years of experience in automated provisioning and configuring software‑defined infrastructure and designing for continuous deployment and continuous operations.
- 3 + years of experience with automation and/or CI/CD techniques and design patterns.
- 3 + years of experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD environments.
- 3 + years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9 + years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 13 + years of directly related work experience OR 17 + years of related, relevant experience.
- 7 + years of experience with C, C++, C#, Java, or Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms.
- Experience with Agile software development and related processes.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in Dev Sec Ops .
- Knowledge of cybersecurity policies and regulations, ability to work across these areas to formulate solutions.
- Experience with secure software development environments at various levels of security.
- Experience with Linux.
- Ability to obtain a Security+ certification.
- U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 is required; this includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.
Summary Pay Range: $136,850 – $185,150 (subject to applicable experience and qualifications).
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
