Applied Machine Learning Scientist

Your work will focus on increasing the operational efficiency of aircraft fleet operators by analyzing their aircraft and maintenance data. Your creative and intellectual skills will be used to develop innovative, nonstandard advanced analytical approaches and algorithms for fleet optimization and advanced health management. Additionally, you will develop data engineering tools and pipelines to filter, organize, and understand text, parametric system data, imagery, and other forms of data collected during aircraft operations.

• Applies the latest machine learning and artificial intelligence technology from across industries, academia, and government
• Builds, train and product ionize cutting-edge Machine Learning (ML) models
• Develops data engineering pipelines for large aerospace data sets
• Implements software development best practices to enable product deployment

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.

• 1+ years of experience with C/C++ coding or java/python script development
• 1+ years of experience with large data (“big data”) analytics (e.g. statistical inference, or machine learning)
• 1+ years of experience with Data Engineering and/or Data Science

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering or data science
• Active U.S. Security Clearance
• Experience with software development best practices
• Strong technical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Desire to collaborate and innovate in an Agile software development environment
• Experience with methodologies and application rules / constraints for mathematical approaches such as classification methods, neural networks, fuzzy logic, Kalman filtering, Bayesian methods, particle filtering, data analytics, causal or physical models etc.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
