Main Responsibilities
Qualified candidates will be responsible for unloading barges, loading, and unloading bulk liquid trailers, basic maintenance activities, certain manufacturing activities, upkeep of operational documents, and promoting a safe work environment by adhering to Delta Companies safe work practices and watching out for fellow employees. Training and guidance will be provided.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Mechanical experience: welding, pipe fitting, and other mechanical experience (preferred)
- Commitment to being on time
- Basic computer skills
- Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals - Ability to take direction and follow instructions
- Basic knowledge of general hand tools and their uses
- Ability to work independently, self-start, and manage tasks with minimal supervision
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others in the terminal.

- The noise in the work environment is sometimes loud.
- The employee must regularly work with hazardous materials (hot liquid asphalt) and chemicals.
- The employee is periodically exposed to outside weather condition, and fumes or airborne particles.
- This job sometimes requires overtime including working weekends and holidays, and rotating work shifts to provide continuous Coverage for customer delivery/pickup. The employee’s daily starting and quitting times may need to be changed in order to meet changing business requirements.
