Test & Evaluation Lab Technician 3 (Contract)
Contract (1 year)
This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.
Independent fabrication and assembly of components, cables, complex test fixtures, test systems, and hubs or electronics racks using hand tools, soldering, and manual mechanical buildup. Assists in implementing manufacturing processes and technologies. Facilitates systems integration, fabrication, and modification; supports integration and checkout of completed products. Conducts tests, participates in design reviews. Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems as well as maintenance and repair of lab equipment.
Coaches and trains others. Works under general direction.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Recommend design changes to simplify builds and resolve potential design escapes.
- Select tools and materials.
- Fabricate components per drawing.
- Maintain quality standards for product acceptance.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with electronic schematics and/or drawings.
- Experience with crimping, soldering, and using a multimeter.
- Extensive electrical and mechanical knowledge and at least 5 years of electrical fabrication experience.
Pay Rate: $30–$35 USD per hour.
