Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is looking for an Experienced
Test & Evaluation Lab Technician to join our team in St. Louis, MO
.
In this role, you will be essential to our operations, focusing on the calibration of various Measurement and Test Equipment and the development of procedures for test equipment. Boeing's metrology parameters include fiber optic, Photometry and radiometry.
Position Responsibilities:Plan, check, set up, and operate, basic and advanced Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment
Use calibration standards (fiber optic, Photometry and radiometry) to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and M&TE /process equipment manufacturer's performance specifications
Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results. Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of shop floor equipment, laboratory and test-related problems.
Coordinate with customers to calibrate stationary equipment while limiting machine downtime
Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork
Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes
Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, priority list, or as assigned by team lead or manager
Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear
Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes
Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes. Develop and review new calibration processes and procedures
Perform computations necessary to analyze measurement test results
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
2+ years of experience in metrology and/or calibration
1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Physically able to lift 35 or more pounds during a shift
PMEL (Air Force) METCAL (NAVY/MARINE Corps) Training
Experience working with fiber optics
Bachelor's degree in a technical field in lieu of experience in calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)

Summary pay range: $63,750 - $86,250
