Processes meat products, fulfills special customer requests; ensures market and seafood cases are kept full, rotates and fresh with prepackaged meats; promotes customer service.

• Process meat by removing fat, tenderizing, grinding, and/or cutting to proper thickness and size.
• Cut, weigh, package, and label product using precision and non‑precision hand tools.
• Clean, assemble, and prepare machinery and equipment for operation; operate machinery, regulate speed, and stop machinery at precise points.
• Check product for quality control and food safety standards; adhere to all governmental labeling requirements.
• Stack pallets and sort product into correct locations according to company efficiency standards.
• Provide friendly customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and fulfilling special cuts of meat; make suggestions as requested.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to company safety procedures.

• Able to safely work with sharp objects such as knives and box cutters.
• Able to safely operate and maintain department equipment.
• Able to use non‑precision and precision hand tools.
• Able to communicate effectively in written and verbal form with customers and partners.
• Able to learn new systems, methods, and processes.
• Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices promptly.
• Report any unremedied hazards to a supervisor immediately.

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Drivers must be 21 years of age or older to operate company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
• High school diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education.
• Food Handler certification required.

• Requires close vision, depth perception, and steady focus.
• Requires standing, walking, and using hands for reaching, touching, or handling.
• Requires steady hand for manipulating objects and using fine finger movements.
• Requires pushing, pulling, maneuvering, or lifting objects up to 40 lbs continuously; up to 75 lbs frequently; up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Requires frequent talking and hearing; bending, kneeling, or squatting.
• Attendance at work is required.

• Work generally performed in a retail store.
• Continuous exposure to equipment with sharp blades or edges.
• Continuous exposure to extreme cold (non‑weather).
• Continuous exposure to wet, slippery or damp conditions.
• Frequent exposure to cleaning agents.
• Moderate to loud noise level.
