Construction - Skilled Laborer​/Carpenter

Summary

My client is seeking experienced Concrete Structure Carpenters to join their construction team. This role is responsible for building, installing, bracing, and stripping concrete forms constructed of wood and steel to create structural concrete components. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in structural concrete construction, blueprint reading, and the safe operation of hand and power tools used in formwork. They take on a variety of projects, many of which are bridges, dams, hwy, utility and some commercial/industrial as well.

• Build, install, brace, and strip concrete forms for structural components
• Assemble and brace modular form systems such as EFCO and SYMO
• Construct form components on-site for footings, columns, pier caps, decks, overhangs, and parapets
• Set up and operate mechanized finishing equipment such as GOMACO and BIDWELL
• Read and interpret blueprints for concrete structures
• Drill holes for, position, and tie reinforcing rods
• Perform general manual labor and additional assignments as directed by supervisors

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a concrete structure carpenter preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints
• Proficient in the safe use and maintenance of hand and power tools
• Experience with modular forming systems (EFCO, SYMO, or similar)
• Knowledge of structural concrete placement and finishing methods
